Sofia Vergara is surrounded by boys in the promo video of her “Saturday Night Live” gig this weekend. The “Modern Family” star appeared in the usual triple-clips with musical guest One Direction and “SNL” regular Kenan Thompson.

“I’m Sofia Vergara and I’m hosting ‘SNL’ this week with musical guest One Direction. I did it! Goodbye,” Vergara said. Thompson then asked, “Wait, where are you going?” She replied, “I hosted, I finished, I go home.” Thompson broke the news to her that the real show will take place this Saturday.

In another promo she said, “I’m excited to be surrounded by these cute pop stars” which then prompted Thompson to feel that the actress was talking about him. Niall Horan reluctantly gave him an approval. The last clip was about Thompson’s feeling standing next to a hot woman.

Vergara tweeted a photo of her and One Direction on Thursday, April 5 and wrote, “Day 4! Rehearsing with @onedirection ! They are sooo funny!!!”  Click Here to watch the photoIt is yet clear whether the British boyband will appear in one of the sketches.

U2 want to spruce up their act – and sell more records – by working with boyband One Direction‘s songwriters, according to reports.

Last October, Bono admitted that their last LP “No Line On The Horizon“, which was released in 2009, hadn’t produced as many hit singles as their previous efforts and claimed that they needed to write some big-selling tunes in order to “survive“.

And with One Direction recently becoming the first UK band ever to score a US Number One album with their debut LP, an anonymous source claims that U2 are eager to emulate their success.

“The band are back in the studio getting a feel for new material after the last album ‘No Line On The Horizon’,” they said. “Will.i.am had a credit on that and they are looking to explore that direction further. They have been working with Dangermouse and Redone. They are excited about getting to work with Carl Falk.”

One Direction has been confirmed to perform at the Madison Square Garden, New Yor, Due to the overwhelming popular demand.

One Direction has turned down an invitation to an Easter egg hunt at the White House because they are too busy with their tour.

Louis, Niall, Liam, Zayn and Harry are going from strength to strength in America, with their first album going to the top of the US charts.

The X Factor runners-up met Michelle Obama and her daughters Malia and Sasha at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards and are said to have hit it off.

The first lady invited the quintet to join President Barack Obama’s family at the White House’s annual Easter Monday egg hunt.
